Etymology

Named for Cuban-American botanist and plant collector Ysabel GalbΓ‘n Wright (1885-1960), who received a specimen from A.f. Moeller of San Pedro, Coahuila, Mexico, in 1931. The epithet is arguably correctable to ysabeliae under article 60.8 of the International Code of Nomenclature.
