Etymology

Named for “Mrs. General MacDonald”, who sent a cutting from (British) Honduras to Kew, presumably Susannah MacDonald nĂ©e Fox-Strangways, the wife of Alexander Archibald MacDonald, superintendent of British Honduras (now Belize).
