Sulcorebutia breviflora was a new name for Rebutia brachyantha Cárdenas (1965) (Greek brachys ‘short’ + Greek anthos ‘flower’), which is an illegitimate later homonym of Rebutia brachyantha (Wessner) Buining & Donald (1963) (= Rebutia steinmannii).
