×Pseudoëchinomediolobiviocereus
Boom, nom. inval. (1957)
Etymology
🌵 Author(s) | Boudewijn Karel Boom |
This name was not seriously proposed, but given as an example of a nothogeneric name that could come about if Lobivia were divided into several segregate genera. Possibly intended as a condensed formula for Pseudolobivia × Echinopsis (or Echinolobivia?) × Mediolobivia × Trichocereus. The name would be invalid under article H.6 of the International Code of Nomenclature, under which “[t]he nothogeneric name of an intergeneric hybrid derived from four or more genera is formed from the name of a person to which is added the termination ‑ara.”
