Latin Amȳclaeus ‘of Amyclae‘. For the occurrence “[o]n calcereous rocks not far from ancient Amicla [sic] (Monticelli, Portella)”, where Tenore collected the species together with Ernesto Mauri and Felice Zecca. Monticelli is present-day Monte San Biagio, Latina, Lazio, Italy.
