“The generic name MIRABELLA was chosen after the village of Mirabela [Minas Gerais, Brazil?], where a second species discovered by me grows. I have chosen the Italian spelling MIRABELLA because it corresponds better to the spoken word (short e). MIRABELLA is an Italian given name.”
