Etymology

Latin Kelleri Badēnsis ‘of the Badensian Keller’. Named for Robert Keller of Baden (Switzerland), who had this plant in his collection. The addition of his place of residence perhaps served to distinguish him from a certain Dr A. Keller, who, like Robert, had sponsored the publication of Sukkulentenkunde.
