Epiphyllopsis
A.Berger (1929)
Etymology
🌵 Author(s) | Alwin Berger |
🌵 Type | Epiphyllopsis gaertneri |
Epiphyllum (presumably Epiphyllum Pfeiff. = Schlumbergera (truncata), not Epiphyllum Haw. = Epiphyllum as it is now understood) + Greek –opsis ‘looking like’ Not explained by Berger. Presumably for the similarity to Epiphyllum truncatum = Schlumbergera truncata.
Plants of the World Online inconsistently refers this genus to Hatiora and the type species to Schlumbergera.
