Cereus + –aceae, the suffix denoting a plant family. The original name Cereæ is correctable to Cereaceae under article 18.4 of the International Code of Nomenclature.
Cereaceae Blume (Bijdr. Fl. Ned. Ind. 7: 285. 1825) is a tribe in the family Orchidaceae. This name is correctable to Cereae under article 19.7 of the International Code of Nomenclature.
